Our Team

David F. Wells

David is the company’s founder and managing member.  

He graduated in 1977 from the University of Illinois with a B.A. in Business Administration and Finance.  He worked in the building trades during college and continued his construction career after graduation.

David brings over 35 years of experience working for several ENR top 500 general contractors.  Projects have included multimillion dollar healthcare facilities, institutional complexes and even an aquarium for the State of North Carolina.

 

Jeffrey A. Dorsten

Jeff runs the residential division of the company and has over twenty five years of experience in custom home building.  Upon completing architecture studies at The Savannah College of Art and Design he apprenticed under Master Carpenter, John Hewitt of Ipswich, England.

Jeff has built and managed some of the region’s most unique custom homes.  He’s also been involved in several award winning historic restorations and renovations.

Wells Construction Group includes a versatile group of project managers and skilled tradespeople.  A high level of professionalism, craftsmanship and fiscal responsibility have secured the company as one of Asheville’s most reputable full service contractors.
